Whether you are selling in an effort to make a profit or merely move to a different part of the city, being informed about the market values of similar properties sold and selling in your neighborhood and/or destination neighborhoods are important to know. Knowing your property's value will only help solidify your decision and enable realistic expectations. Also, by researching potential neighborhoods and visiting open-houses, you will also get a clearer perspective your decision to sell or stay.

2) How to find the right agent.

If you decide to sell your property, ask people you trust if they have any positive experiences with agents that specialize in your area. Don't settle on the first one you meet. Rather, meet with a few and determine the one that best suits your needs. Filtering out the best amongst a group of already qualified referrals should give you a great starting point into getting your property sold.
